Optimal Combination of Thermal and Optical Properties
THE dgu LAMINATED GLASs
DGU Laminated Glass combines two or more laminated glass panes that are spaced apart and sealed with a sealant to appear as a single unit. It is designed to reduce heat loss and solar heat gain entering the building while reducing visible light transmittance. Hence they improve thermal performance and reduce energy costs. They can be fabricated to meet sound control requirements, seismic requirements, bullet resistance, hurricane and blast resistance requirements, impact resistance, and state energy codes.
30 Years+ Of Experience In Laminated Glass Production
Shenzhen Dragon Glass offers a wide variety of DGU Laminated Glass configurations that can be made available to meet diverse aesthetic and performance needs.
Size range
Oversize Glass Configurations available up to 3300mm*13000mm.
Gas Filled Options
There are three different types of DGU based on the type of gas filled between the glass: regular DGU with no filling – it has dry air inside; Inert gas filling such as argon, krypton, and xenon; a vacuum exists between the glass.
Laminated Options
A DGU laminated glass will have a minimum of six glass surfaces, possibly more. DGU with Laminated Inboard and DGU with Laminated outboard. Also, double-laminated DGU is available.
Surface Low-E coated location options
Low-E coated is available. Coatings can be placed on the #2 surface, however superior solar performance can be achieved by placing the coating on the #4 surface, touching the air space.
Shape Options
Flat and Curved.

everything you may want to know about DGU laminated glass
DGU laminated glass also offers superior soundproofing as well as increased thermal insulation. Furthermore, when used in combination with special coatings, it can offer protection from ultraviolet (UV) radiation, allowing it to be used in outdoor applications.
DGU laminated glass is suitable for both residential and commercial applications, such as shopfronts, balconies, facades, vehicle windows, partitions, and more. Additionally, due to its superior soundproofing capabilities, it can be used in places that require acoustic insulation such as music studios or conference rooms.
DGU laminated glass is particularly effective at reducing the transmission of sound waves, providing superior acoustic insulation compared to other materials. With a sound reduction index (SRI) of up to 32 dB, it can drastically reduce noise pollution from outside sources such as traffic or machinery, creating a quieter and more peaceful environment. Additionally, its special coatings can provide additional sound absorption and reduce reverberation, creating a more pleasant acoustic environment. It is also very effective at blocking out external noise, making it ideal for soundproofing applications. Whether you are looking for an effective way to reduce noise in your home or business, DGU laminated glass can provide the perfect solution.
Double laminated insulating glass units have both a laminated inboard and laminated outboard with a space in between. This configuration is often selected when improved OITC acoustic performance is desired such as in schools. In addition, double laminated insulating units can meet protective glazing requirements.
Compared to laminated glass, DGU laminated glass is much stronger and saves you money on energy bills. This is because it creates a robust thermal barrier that gives you incredible heat retention while leaving cold air outside.
DGU laminated glass can be produced quickly and efficiently, usually taking between one to three weeks depending on the complexity of the job.
